In the role of Senior Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexityPlan and develop projects or design activities with a significant impact on major company programs as neededPlan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and techniciansMentor and help develop younger staffPut together a full set of Contract Documents (plans and specifications) that are constructible and meets client(s) standards as applicablePerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasisQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringA minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building designProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMicrosoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical softwareExperience in design calculations and layoutsAbility to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and woodRequires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysisPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
