Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a position in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity environments, including telemetry, stepdown, or emergency departments at Level 3 or Level 4 facilities.
Position Details

Shift: Days (07:00 - 19:30)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours (specified on submission form)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Hours: As required by the facility
Call Requirements: None
Qualifications

Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri)
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (from AHA only); TNCC and NIHSS (may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start)
Preferred Experience: Trauma and pediatric care, with an emphasis on high acuity cases in a busy emergency department setting
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Telemetry, Stepdown, or Emergency Department

Number of Beds: 68
Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, but may vary based on circumstances
Equipment: EMR - EPIC
Core Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. Responsibilities also include:

Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments.
Maintaining professional accountability and adherence to the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
Ensuring confidentiality of patient information and rights are upheld.
Evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
Working Conditions

Physical activity includes standing and walking for most of the shift.
Ability to lift and push patients in stretchers and wheelchairs.
Work is predominantly performed in a clean, air-conditioned environment.
Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, and gripping weights up to 50 lbs.
