Paraeducator (Temporary)

Salary Range $15.00 - $17.00 Hourly Category Education

Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom.
Assist in administering assessments/progress monitoring.
Works with the teacher in documenting academic progress through authentic observations and data collection.
Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques and data collection.
Keep up on best and promising practices for education (i.e., Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (i.e., Ensure administration is informed of all parent and individual student concerns and complaints.
Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.

Education and Training:

D. or High School Diploma
DCF 45 hour within 90 days of hire if doing after care/summer or camp.
CRP/First Aid Training
Prefer at least 1 year experience working with children in an elementary classroom setting.
Prefer experience working with students with disabilities
