Hematologist Opportunity At Dartmouth Cancer CenterThe Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC) is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative full-time Hematologist to join our Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center at our main campus in Lebanon, NH.The Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center, part of the Dartmouth Cancer center, is one the three federally funded Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Centers in northern New England. Our Center is part of the national network supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The center provides comprehensive care for pediatric and adult patients with inherited and acquired bleeding and clotting disorders and houses the region's only specialized coagulation laboratory.The successful candidate will collaborate effectively within an expanding integrated health system, have excellent communication skills, and evidence of a strong clinical background. Responsibilities and activities include:Outpatient clinic consultations for patients with bleeding or clotting disordersInpatient consultations for patients with bleeding or clotting disorders who present to the emergency department or are admitted under medicine or surgical services.Teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students on consultative or clinic rotations.Participation in local coagulation conferences and regional activitiesEngaging in quality improvement and clinical research projectsCollaboration with and coordination of the multidisciplinary team (nursing, advanced practice providers, physical therapist, social worker and other health care professionals) to provide holistic care for patients with bleeding disorders including hemophilia, von Willebrand's disease and other rare bleeding disordersCandidate will be eligible for an academic appointment through the Geisel School of Medicine at a rank commensurate with qualifications.This position does not have inpatient malignant hematology service requirementsRequired Licensure/Certifications:BC/BE in Hematology/OncologyEligible for State of New Hampshire medical licenseEligible for Federal DEA Registration
