Beaumont, TX 77702 Pediatrician (Northside Houston, Texas) - Job Overview Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week Join our family as a Pediatrician at Legacy Community Health, where your expertise and compassion can help children, adolescents, and families access meaningful, high-quality care close to home. You will provide clinical care across a range of developmental stages while contributing to prevention, wellness, and whole-person care in a collaborative community healthcare setting.

Provide compassionate clinical care for children and adolescents in a community healthcare setting.
Partner with an interdisciplinary team to support pediatric treatment and preventive health.
Help develop clinical protocols, patient education resources, and quality assurance initiatives.
Support the education and supervision of healthcare students and non-physician providers.
Serve patients through flexible clinic coverage, including days, evenings, and weekends, according to clinic needs.

Your Impact and Growth You will play an important role in expanding access to pediatric care and helping families make healthy, informed choices. Through clinical leadership, teamwork, and mentorship, you will have opportunities to strengthen care delivery and support the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Perform assessments and provide treatment to clients of the clinic.
Keep scheduled hours for extended clinic coverage during days, evenings, and weekends.
Work hours to remain flexible according to the needs of clinic expansion.
Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set forth by the Chief Medical Officer.
Remain available by phone during regularly scheduled hours should assistance be required.
Assist in the review and development of patient education material.
Provide supervision of health care students assigned to the clinic for educational purposes.
Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.
Supervise non-physician providers, including Licensed Therapists, Certified Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Physicians Assistants, with respect to pediatric treatment.
Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.
Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, including FQHC-required voluntary family planning services and related preventative health services in compliance with funding requirements and state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
Medical Doctorate with current licensure.
Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics.
Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served.
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community, and the general public.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
