R R (roughly translated as "Good Fun") has been a labor of love for Ciaran Sheehan and David Kelly, two childhood friends from Ireland, since they emigrated to the USA in the 1990's. The duo's mission was to create a gathering place like those pubs that they knew so well from their hometowns in Ireland. Such a place would have authentic Irish interiors, would be welcoming to all and would act as a "social hub" for the local community; a "Real Irish Local". R R in Uptown Charlotte, NC, encompasses a fantastic, 2-storey, community oriented pub & restaurant, an outdoor deck, as well as two other brands (the R R Sandwich Shop and Uptown Coffee Co.)! Who You Are - You enjoy interacting and connecting with guests - You take pride in your position and in the quality of service and hospitality that you provide - You are a "Team Player", considerate to the experience of all guests, as well as the experience of your fellow employees - You have strong communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task - You understand "Genuine" hospitality - You ideally have experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting

What You Will Be Doing - Greeting guests on arrival with a warm and friendly welcome - Managing the reservation system and floor / seating charts - Accurately quoting wait times and escorts guests to designated table - Following up with guest requests, either directly or via the assigned bartender / server - Assisting servers and bartenders in maintenance and cleaning of service utensils and service equipment as required - Bussing tables (clearing plates, cups, glassware and condiments etc.) - Resetting tables to standard - Answering incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, providing requested information as able - Accommodating and processing "To Go" orders, merchandize orders and / or door cover as required - Ensuring that the host stand (and all other assigned relevant areas) is maintained in an organized, clean and sanitary manner - Ensuring that all set-up and break-down tasks are completed to standard - Interacting with guests - Having fun!
