Structural Engineer - San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

S Citizenship is required.
12 Months Contract

Shift: 1st Shift, 9/80 schedule

Pay Rate: $70/Hr. on W2
Description:

Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.

Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.
Required Skills:

Competency with FEMAP and NASTRAN pre/post processing
Significant experience with Fatigue/Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with the following tools: jFAMS, FASTRAN, DBI/SST, Catia V5, and Knotch
Experience with the following: Navy fatigue/DaDT methods and report writing, Regression analysis techniques to develop load transfer functions, linear elastic fracture mechanics, Strain-life fatigue analysis methodology
Ability to obtain an active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Education:

BS or MS degree
