Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative treatments that help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety practices.
Document treatments and patient responses accurately and timely.
Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current BLS certification preferred.
Strong patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Previous rehabilitation, outpatient, skilled nursing, or post-acute care experience preferred.
