Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its virology department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality patient care through accurate test reporting. Full training is provided for qualified new graduates.
Responsibilities
Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental standard operating procedures
Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation and document preventative maintenance activities
Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or quality control materials
Report timely and accurate test results to support patient care
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
Three months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
