Management and Training Corporation provides a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees gain valuable skills necessary for success upon release. Join our team at the Marana Detention Facility in Marana, Arizona.

Reports to the facility administrator. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties which require extreme discretion in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

Perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, including minutes of meetings and other correspondence, reports and other documents.

• Operate office equipment such as computer, fax machine, and copy machine.
• Receive telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refer them to proper individual if facility administrator is not available.
• Maintain central library of required documents, handbooks, directives, facility operating procedures, etc.

Participate in the development of new and revised facility operating procedures in compliance with corporate procedures. Maintain and update master facility operating procedures.

• Make recommendation for purchase of equipment/supplies; maintain expense account records and confidential files.
• Plan and coordinate facility functions as directed.
• It is expected the incumbent will work overtime when directed to do so.
• It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work as by management.

High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of clerical experience at an administrative assistant level, proficient in the use of a computer to include the use of various computer applications, and US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required. Associate degree in business administration, secretarial science or associated field strongly preferred. Must successfully complete required preservice training. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
