Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:o Moderate to high acuity cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and medical patients.o CHF, strict I&Os, SVT, a-fib, a-flutter, NSTEMI, coronary artery disease, COPD exacerbations, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, pleural effusions w/ thorax, respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, altered mental status, metabolic/electrolyte abnormalities, DM, anemia? Patient Ratios:o 1:5? Required License, National Certification, Certs:o BLS, NIHSS? Skills required:o Continual bipap, high-flow nasal cannula, wound care (including dressing pressure injuries), surgical wound care, negative pressure dressing, interpreting cardiac rhythms,o Drips: Heparin, Lasix, Amiodaroneo Prefer: charge experience and willingness to take on charge duties? Support within the Department:o PCA/CNAo Unit Coordinator (secretary)o Charge RN takes patient assignment? Technology/Equipment:o EMR: Cernero IV Pump: ICU Medicalo Med dispensing: Omnicello Monitors: Phillipso Unit specific equipment: Oximizer, Sarah Steady, Hoyer Lift?
