Job Responsibilities Technical/Phlebotomy - Perform approved specimen collection procedures, point-of-care testing services and processing. Assist in special projects, evaluations, experiments or research.

Customer Service - Act as patient advocate and meet patient/family needs. Provide information concerning patients admitted to, referred to/from, transferred to/from, or discharged from home unit. Utilize a customer focus in completing assignments, communicate in a courteous and conscientious manner. Professional Development - Maintain currency in the field through continuing education, conferences, meetings, in-services, networking, literature, and/or seminars. Attend all mandatory CCHMC training sessions. Compliance - Understand and comply with applicable policies, guidelines, regulations, and/or accreditation standards. Document compliance as necessary. To primarily provide phlebotomy and other lab sample collection in addition to other laboratory support functions in the Clinical Laboratory department of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents.

Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of Phlebotomy or other relevant Clinical Lab specimen collection experience OR completion of a Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program

Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification
