Gastroenterology Medicine Physician

The Consensus Health Gastroenterology Physician will diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in adult patients. This outpatient role provides evidence‑based care within an integrated healthcare delivery model, emphasizing strong provider‑patient relationships and multidisciplinary collaboration. In‑patient or hospital coverage is not required.

Provide outpatient infusion services, ultrasound, breath testing, and Fibroscan.

Maintain an in‑office pathology lab for biopsy specimens.

Conduct procedures at affiliated ambulatory surgical centers and outpatient hospital units.

Participate in on‑call coverage for evening and weekend phone calls.

Potential secondary income through ownership interests in an ambulatory surgical center.

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) licensed in New Jersey.

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in gastroenterology.

Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship.

DEA controlled‑substance registration.

Prior experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

325,000–$400,000 per year, based on level, experience, and net collections percentage. The range reflects first‑year employment and may be influenced by additional factors and market data.

Regular walking, bending, standing, and office equipment operation.

May need to travel to other healthcare practices.
