A growing food distribution company is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support daily purchasing operations. This individual will be responsible for placing orders, communicating with vendors, monitoring inventory, and ensuring products are replenished and delivered on time.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Manage daily purchasing activities and place orders with vendors.
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment.
Negotiate pricing and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Track purchase orders and follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, order documentation, and spreadsheets.
Identify and resolve purchasing or delivery issues as they arise.
Qualifications

Previous purchasing, procurement, or inventory management experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A responsible, proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build vendor relationships while keeping purchasing operations organized and running smoothly.
