Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in New City, NY. The Direct Support Professional will provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them with daily living skills, implementing goal-oriented plans, and fostering personal independence. The role includes building meaningful relationships, conducting activities that promote skill-building, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Qualifications
Experience in Human Services and a strong understanding of supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
Proficiency in providing Training and support tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in related fields is a plus.
Flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of the role, which may include evenings or weekends.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
