Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, retirement plan administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, employment law compliance & record keeping and also serves as a backup to payroll functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Day-to-day administration of the Human Resources Department

Employee onboarding and New Hire Orientation

Ability to provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues

Maintains electronic employee files and HRIS system

Maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state and local and benefits laws and regulations

Benefits Support Provide support to employees relating to employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits

Reconciliation of monthly billing and processing of payments

Assess and escalate risks to the HR Director and/or CHRO

Onboarding Manage the end-to-end onboarding process in ADP Workforce Now, from creation of job requisitions to offer and New Hire Orientation

Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and welcome packages.

Participate and present benefits materials during New Hire Orientation

Answer employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.

HRIS Management Assist with maintaining the company’s HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now) ensuring data accuracy and integrity

Assist with benefits data analysis and reporting from the HRIS

Identify opportunities to improve the HRIS system and streamline HR processes

Maintain electronic employee files and HRIS system to support the overall business

General HR Support Provide backup support to weekly payroll processing

Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures

Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure effective HR operations

Mid-level skills in Excel utilizing simple formulas and creating spreadsheets.

Minimum of 5 years applicable work experience in HR, benefits, recruiting and onboarding experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in place of education and work experience.

Qualifications - Preferred Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Physical Requirements Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person and on the telephone.
