Summary Of Position Under shop supervision Welder 2 is responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and Invar 36 parts using a MIG/TIG process.

Set up welding machines based on the specifications of the job.

Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.

Repair broken or damaged parts.

Keep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.

Required Skills, Education, And Experience Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. High school diploma or GED

3 5 years of relevant work experience

Completion of a Welding certificate from a college or Technical School

Experience with MIG and TIG welding required.

Preferred Qualifications Forklift/crane certification and experience

Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends when necessary.

Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities.

Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location.

Travel Requirements Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out of area and overnight travel.

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles.

The employee is occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.

May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands.

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understanding that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.

Knows that safety shoes are required in the manufacturing area.
