Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department/Trauma Center

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing for both adult and pediatric patients and experience in managing critical conditions.

Responsibilities

Assess and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.

Provide care for various conditions including CVA, neuro-trauma, and traumatic brain injuries.

Administer blood products and manage central lines.

Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.

Identify and report abuse or neglect, and manage infections and respiratory conditions.

Care for ventilated patients and manage trauma cases such as gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department setting required.

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.

Must have a valid New York RN license in hand to submit.

Experience with charting systems, particularly EPIC, is mandatory.
