HVAC Engineer
Contract Details

Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 5 months (with potential for extension)
Shift / Schedule: 12-hour shifts

As a HVAC Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
Work within broad guidelines and policies.
Commercial / Industrial HVAC experience
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
Prior shift manager or supervisory experience
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school / apprenticeship program diploma required
5 years of job-related HVAC experience

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility / Office environment
team consists of Maintenance Mechanics, HVAC Techs, Plumbers, and Electricians
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of HVAC equipment as part of a typical working day
Overtime expected
Interview process: 1st round virtual; 2nd round in-person with a site tour
Position is contract-to-hire with potential to convert to FTE
