Licensed Practical Nurse - Full Time- Flexible shifts

Verland is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the team at our Reaghard House in Cheswick, PA. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to the individuals that call Verland their home.

Shifts Full Time – 36 hours per week.

Week 1: 6 pm – 6:30 am on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday.

Week 2: 6 pm – 6:30 am on Sunday, Thursday, and Friday.

Responsibilities Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.

Assess the physical status of residents daily and report any unusual behaviors or conditions to the Charge Nurse.

Assist with physician visits as assigned.

Document care given to residents on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.

Develop and implement health care plans for assigned residents as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attend any staffing and ITR reviews as a contributing member.

Participate in and attend Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.

LPN will not insert nasogastric tubes or obtain physicians' orders.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications Must possess a working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends.

Must be able to comprehend residents' records and physicians' orders and communicate information effectively.

Must be able to establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.

Must be able to document residents' care comprehensively according to professional and legal standards.

Minimum Training and Experience Graduate of a recognized one-year practical nurse program and hold a current Pennsylvania registration.

At least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).

All required clearances and a valid driver's license.
