Job Role
A pastor with a passion to lead and serve the youth ministry to connect our youth closer to God and His kingdom. Other roles involve Sunday services, midweek programming, special events, volunteering/serving in outreach events and other ministries. Other duties will be assigned based on the needs of the church.

Full Time (Salary) / 40 Hours Weekly

Born again Christian with maturity in their faith and has been called to the Gospel ministry

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Effective skills in recruiting, managing, and providing team‑building environments for staff and volunteers

Solid theology and sound doctrine

Love for God, the church, the community, and the people

Conceals a burden for the lost in the community

Pays tithes to Ridgeline Church

Responsibilities/Duties

Oversee the Ridgeline youth ministry. Manage the departmental staff, interns, and volunteers.

Meet regularly with youth ministry leaders/volunteers to see if help is needed and to make sure the volunteers understand our core principles and the responsibilities of their roles and positions. Provide training and procedures to the leaders and volunteers for emergency events such as fire, bad weather, active shooter, and medical emergencies. Pursuing Sunday morning and Wednesday evening check‑ins with your team and providing weekly encouragements are a high priority.

Recruit, train, schedule, and lead teams of staff and volunteers for weekly programs, upcoming camps, and events.

Share a profound love of Jesus with the youth of our church and community.

Motivate the youth in their commitment and connection to the body of Christ.

Encourage them to contribute to the mission of Christ and ultimately impact the world.

Pursue growth for every youth and set a goal to see each child actively grow in their faith.

Develop an engaging Wednesday night program that connects and reaches each youth on their level.

Act as the point person for communication with parents.

Encourage parents to be involved in the spiritual formation of their kid’s lives.

Research and decide on the most effective programs to assist in impacting our youth.

Develop and oversee the annual youth ministry budget in a way that effectively utilizes church resources and maximizes ministry opportunities.

Oversee all programming and ministry for high school age children, including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, summer programming and special events.

Create strategic ideas for reaching and connecting with new youth and families.

Plan and oversee special events. Plan and execute youth events/outings once every quarter (4 times a year).

Take youth to summer camp. Plan and host the summer teen V.B.S. week.

Be involved in the youth’s activities outside of the church, throughout the year.

Keep track and call any missing or absent parishioners weekly.

Stay till the end of all church wide activities to help clean and make sure all tasks are prepared and completed for next service.

Youth Pastor’s Duties

Participate in all church worship programs regularly.

Perform baptisms, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and other pastoral care as necessary.

Serve in outreach events and within other ministries as needed.

Ensure any church products and equipment used for the youth ministry are stocked, maintained, and repaired as needed.

Ensure weekly cleaning is finished in a timely manner.

Communication/Reporting

Report and keep the Lead Pastor informed of ministry accomplishments, upcoming planned tasks and events, critical issues and concerns, and upcoming challenges and obstacles needing addressed.

Report to the Personnel, Finance, Building & Grounds, and Benevelence committees regarding any issues, concerns, plans, and requests that involve their participation or approval.

Participate in staff meetings and provide up‑to‑date details and information about the Youth Ministry.

Maintain excellent relationships, open communication, and positive outlooks and attitudes toward all staff and volunteers.

Lifestyle Expectations

Profess your faith in the Lord God and maintain a consistent relationship with Him. Talk to Him, Pray, and learn about His word.

Actively working on your spiritual growth through reading, taking classes, listening to training resources, and attending conferences and seminars.

Set a Christlike example in words and actions for the church and community while personally pursuing a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Live in such a way that glorifies Christ in your personal, social, and online everyday life; 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
