Overview Raytheon’s Multidisciplinary Integrated Systems Department (MISD) supports the design and development of world‑class Air and Missile Defense Systems, Sensors, and Effectors, focusing on Systems Engineering across the System of System, System, Subsystem, and Component levels. We seek a Systems Engineer to contribute to key programs such as Patriot, AMDC, and LTAMDS.
Responsibilities Perform Systems Engineering activities within one or more technical domain areas (Architecture, Requirements, Interface Definition, Modeling & Simulation, Radar Systems, etc.) on selected programs.
Develop and maintain system and subsystem level requirements, documentation, and design of system‑level software architecture.
Lead modeling and simulation efforts, including the development of system models, algorithms, test vectors, and evaluation tools for radar requirements and performance.
Coordinate risk and opportunity analysis, engage with stakeholders, and communicate technical solutions to complex user needs.
Work independently and in a geographically distributed team environment, interfacing with customers and other disciplines.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Missile Defense Systems or related systems engineering.
Advanced STEM degree (preferred).
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
Proficiency with system and subsystem level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance.
Experience in system concept development, detection, discrimination, track and signal‑processing algorithms, and performance modeling.
Programming skills in MATLAB (including object‑oriented), Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
Agile methodology experience using JIRA and Confluence.
Analytical, technical, and problem‑solving experience with data analysis.
Benefits Salary Range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD per year.
