Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)
Wausau, WI | Acute Care
Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Variable Shifts, Days/Nights (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Rotating | Onsite | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed short stay/observation unit with a 1:4 patient ratio, managing conditions such as anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-op urology and GI cases
Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 3 years of RN experience
At least 1 prior travel assignment required
EPIC charting experience required
Background in observation units, medical-surgical, or telemetry settings
Opportunity to join a newly opening unit from the ground floor, contributing to the development of team culture and workflows from day one
Guaranteed hours per week provide stability, with overtime available after 48 hours worked
