Finance Estimator

Job TitleEssential Responsibilities:Support of the day-to-day accounting functions of the operations organizationDeveloping and analyzing cost standards for manufactured goods and inputsCompleting month-end close process and preparation of general ledger account analysisPrepare and maintain various account roll forwards.Assist in various operations related analysis including but not limited to production KPI's, COGS analysis, margin analysis, ROI calculations, capacity utilization, etc.Posting all relevant accounting journal entriesCreation, analysis and posting of various month end accrualsIdentify and implement process improvement in the month end close process, including methods to accelerate overall close timeline while maintaining accuracyPerform and assist with identified account reconciliations and analysisMaintain general ledger and chart of accountsAssist with preparation of audit reports and inquiriesServe as liaison between Operations and accounting for existing fixed asset transactionsAssist with preparation of company plant capex reporting requirementsComplete special projects assigned to support finance and operations organizationsVerify that transactions comply with financial policies and proceduresAssessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processesCriteria:High level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Oracle experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, verbal/written, organizational skillsStrong attention to detailsAbility to manage multiple activities and prioritize independentlySelf-motivated with a focus on process improvementsA keen customer service mentalityMust be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environmentQualifications:Minimum work experience: of 3+ years in accounting or related fieldMinimum education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldExperience with customer service and client communicationVerdesian Life Sciences is an equal opportunity employer to all, regardless of age, ancestry, color, disability, military or veteran status, national origin, political affiliation, race, religious creed, sex, and sexual orientation.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
