Dosimetrist - Oncology - (Full-time)

The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and clinically skilled Radiation Therapist to join our radiation oncology team full-time. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for accurately delivering prescribed radiation treatments, supporting patient care throughout the treatment process, and working collaboratively with the oncology team. Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program required.
ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy required, or eligibility with certification obtained within the required timeframe.
Current Connecticut radiation therapist licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment, required.
Prior experience in a radiation oncology setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical preparation may be considered.
This is a full-time position with a regular weekday schedule. At The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, our team is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate cancer care close to home. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist and in accordance with established clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Operate linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently. Document treatment delivery, patient responses, setup details, and related information accurately in the electronic medical record. Follow radiation protection principles and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Participate in quality assurance activities, equipment checks, chart rounds, huddles, and interdisciplinary communication as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal requirements.
