Dishwasher - Part-Time 2nd Shift

Culinary Department Dishwashing Position

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards.

Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience Shift Details: Part-time (32 hrs/wk) 5 Days each week. Afternoon / Evening (2:30pm - 9:30pm). Located at Intermountain Medical Center Culinary Services Additional Details: This role involves dishwashing duties. Requires working around water and standard dishwashing chemicals. Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).

Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions

Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.

Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

Occasional interaction with customers that requires employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work around dish machines and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.
