Full Time Cleaning/Housekeeping/Custodian Position

Custodian 2 within the Facilities Department. Full‑time. The position helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by performing a variety of custodial and facility support duties, including cleaning buildings, maintaining floors and equipment, and assisting with campus events and general upkeep.

Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures

Mingles or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations for various tasks

Strips, cleans, and polishes floors using industrial‑grade machines

Maintains custodial equipment and reports needs for minor building and/or equipment repairs to a higher‑level custodian

Sets up tables, chairs, and other furniture for special meetings, banquets, or other occasions as assigned

Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions

Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas

Strips, decontaminates, and makes beds for patients, residents, students, etc.

May perform grounds work by picking up trash, watering plants, light mowing, weed trimming, etc.

successful completion of this period is required before obtaining permanent status.

Compensation: Anticipated starting salary will be commensurate with education and work experience.

Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
