Description:
The position seeks a registered nurse for a medical surgical unit.
The unit serves a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
The nurse will work in a setting with remote telemetry and potential medical surgical diagnoses.
A minimum of one year of experience is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Nurses are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise.
Floating to other similar units may be required as needed.
No call requirements are associated with this position.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Compliance with all onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time.
Full compliance is required; if not compliant, an adjustment in start time may occur.
The unit operates with an average daily census of 33 and has a capacity of 38 beds.
Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals.
