PHLEBOTOMIST (TEMPORARY/EVENINGS)

Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled and certified Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating, and updating patient information. The Phlebotomist will collect and store specimens according to established procedures and ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens.

Record maintenance data and decontaminate equipment.

Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collections clearly and courteously.

Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy.

Answer telephone calls and provide laboratory results as needed.

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience in phlebotomy

This position is for the 2nd shift, from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, in a doctor's office. The phlebotomist will handle around 5 patients per day and manage numerous samples. The position requires working independently, and the candidate will receive approximately 2 weeks of training.
