Our scenic 70‑acre campus in Pompano Beach is conveniently located near major highways and transportation options.About the RoleAs an EMT at John Knox Village, you will respond rapidly to emergency calls, assess medical situations, and administer appropriate first aid and emergency care. You will determine when transport to an emergency room is necessary, utilize medical equipment to evaluate injuries or illness, and complete detailed incident reports for all medical response calls.Your ability to remain calm, communicate clearly, and act decisively will make a meaningful difference in the safety and well‑being of our community.What We're Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GEDState Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic license (must be maintained)Valid driver's license2-4 years of related EMT experienceStrong attention to detail and accurate note‑taking skillsAbility to manage stressful situations and multitask effectivelyAbility to sit, stand, and patrol for long periodsAbility to lift and push at least 50 lbs, with stamina to repeatedly lift, bend, and kneelAbility to read, write, and speak in EnglishOutstanding communication skills, including two‑way radio communicationAbility to remain calm, courteous, and attentive at all timesJob ResponsibilitiesRespond rapidly to emergency calls following established emergency proceduresAssess medical situations and perform physical examinationsAdminister first aid and emergency care to sick or injured individualsDetermine whether emergency room transport is requiredProvide medical care in accordance with EMT certificationUtilize medical equipment to assess injuries or illnessComplete incident reports for all medical response callsMaintain professionalism, calmness, and compassion in all situationsPerform other duties as assignedTake the leap into an exciting career where your contributions matter.Additional RequirementsThis position is subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law.
