Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Richmond, VA office. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for representing the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and assigning various projects to be performed by the team.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout; Also, responsible for directing and leading the design team of a wide number of projects.

Assume responsible charge for the overall economic well-being of the assigned projects.

Establishes design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.

Designs large projects, prepares reports and specifications, and provides a very high level of technical leadership.

Establishes project budgets and schedules.

Networks within SHG and outside.

Participates in QA/QC process of completed work by staff.

Performs "Engineer of Record" duties for projects.

Performs calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.

Provides consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.

Represents Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.

Takes responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineer in accredited schools.

• 7+ years of relevant experience in MEP field
• Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience, required, as you will have a very strong technical role
• possess basic knowledge of systems design for various projects.
