Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience

EPIC experience preferred

The Certified Medical Assistant II (CMA II) is a credentialed clinical professional who supports physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The CMA II performs both clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, documentation, assisting with procedures, and care coordination. This role ensures efficient clinic workflow while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort.

This position supports outpatient and ambulatory care settings, including specialty clinics and procedural areas, and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Performs patient intake activities including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and medical history documentation. Monitors patient flow and identifies opportunities for improving clinic efficiency and quality of care. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and follows evidence-based clinical practices.

Provides compassionate, patient-centered care by addressing patient concerns, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the visit.

Educates patients on procedures, medications, follow-up care, and preventive health measures as directed by providers. Supports onboarding and training of new staff as needed.

Knowledge of clinical and administrative medical assistant practices

Understanding of outpatient clinic workflows, policies, and procedures

Familiarity with medical terminology, patient documentation, and vital signs

Ability to assist with minor procedures and specimen collection

Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC preferred)

General computer skills including Microsoft Office and clinical systems
