The posted compensation range of $24.15 - $34.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.

conducts proactive patrolling to VMFH buildings, parking structures and grounds throughout the course of the shift on foot or by vehicle.
Identifies, reports, and follows up on security and building maintenance concerns; Operates equipment including, but not limited to: cellular/radio communications, electronic security systems, fire command systems, self-defense weapons, and other equipment related to life-safety and security currently in use by VMFH; uses closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance equipment, access and alarm programs, to monitor any unusual activity on the grounds or vicinity.
Checks doors to ensure they are secured and reports any signs of vandalism or equipment malfunction to management.
deny individuals access to the facility after evaluation of their needs; Six months of related experience in security, healthcare, or related law enforcement/military experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
