Position Summary: Responsible for the daily preparation, cooking and plating of all food orders in an efficient, safe, and attractive manner.

Reports To: Kitchen Manager

Perform food preparation duties when needed

Check food for quality and presentation before serving

Ensure food is handled in a sanitary manner

Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines

All food items must be prepared according to the Menu Build.

Restocks all items as needed throughout shift

Cleans/maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills

Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas

Ensure proper temperatures are maintained on cooking and refrigeration equipment

Awareness of food allergies and possible areas of cross contamination

Guest Service: Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet Guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the Guests' overall dining experience.

They must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training.

Teamwork: Working together as a team is a critical success factor of any restaurant. Performing General Physical Activities: Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials. Problem Solving and Conflict Management: Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.

Analytical Skills: General accounting and math skills required along with point-of-sale application knowledge. Technical Skills: Must correctly operate various mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit card machines, mixers and hot beverage makers.

Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided.

Language: Must have ability to speak and write English effectively.
