Registered DietitianThe Registered Dietitian provides nutritional support to in-center and home dialysis patients and families to optimize nutrition and improve outcomes. Ensures patient privacy, dignity, and safety, and demonstrates knowledge of dialysis care and the skills necessary to manage dialysis patients' nutritional needs.Work ExperienceRegistered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on the Commission of Dietetics Registry.Minimum of 1-year professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a registered dietitian (after becoming a registered dietitian).If state regulations permit, the 1 year of experience requirement may be waived if work is supervised by a qualified dietitian until 1 year of clinical experience has been obtained.
