PHYSICAL THERAPIST
We are seeking a Physical Therapist, sometimes referred to as Movement Specialist. The Physical Therapist (PT) will help patients regain mobility and function after illness, injury, or surgery through assessments, exercises, and early mobilization. They also assist with pain management, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions after hospitalization.

Knapp Medical Center is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Knapp has been providing quality and compassionate healthcare to Mid-Valley residents for 60 years. More than 300 physicians serve on the hospital's medical staff. Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders.
The Physical Therapist I performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy/Hospital Policy, state and federal regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
Current state Physical Therapy license
