Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

Healthcare Setting: 17-bed Emergency Department

Travel Nursing Contract: 8 weeks

Nursing Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts

Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m.–Patient Population: Neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults

Unit Resources: House supervisor, respiratory therapy, and radiology support

Emergency nursing care with ICU-level and titratable drips

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a valid compact-state license

At least 1 year of professional RN experience required; Recent Emergency Department or critical care nursing experience preferred

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications

Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a high-acuity, rapidly changing emergency department environment

Travel Emergency Nurse Responsibilities
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, identify priorities, and develop individualized plans of care.

Provide emergency nursing care for patients with medical illness, trauma, pediatric needs, behavioral health concerns, and life-threatening conditions.

Administer medications and manage ICU-level or titratable drips in accordance with professional standards and applicable policies.

Collaborate with providers, respiratory therapy, radiology, EMS, transfer services, law enforcement, and other interdisciplinary partners.

Educate and support patients and families while promoting dignity, cultural responsiveness, and informed participation in care.

Document care accurately in the electronic health record and evaluate patient responses to treatment.

Promote patient safety, infection prevention, privacy, and quality improvement throughout the Emergency Department.
