School Nurse/Paraprofessional (LPN)

Medical Assistant
Assist 1 on 1 with the provision of routine and emergency medical needs for a school age child, e.g., tube feeding, toileting, skin care, and positioning. 7.0 hours/day (8:15a - 3:45pm), 5 days/week, 195 days/year. Administer medication for emergency seizure control for any student. Under the supervision of the building principal, the school nurse and the head nurse. Please note: This assignment will involve assisting a preschool student with a tracheotomy.
Minimum Qualifications:

LPN

Passage of the ParaPro Assessment One year of related successful work experience Strong interpersonal skills Experience in operating basic office equipment Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job Preferred Qualifications:

~ Previous experience working with students with disabilities
