Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• BS completion preferred.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live 50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents UEA Definity & Optison.
• Agitated saline bubble studies.
• Must be able to complete 7 scans per day.
• Must meet expectations for pace and volume.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• IV Certification.
• 2-3 years experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:

- Graduate of an ultrasonography program required.

- ARDMS RDCS AE

Preferred Credentials:

• Completion of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasonography training program preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in ultrasonography, radiology, biological sciences, or a relevant health sciences field preferred.

Unit Details:

• TAVR echocardiogram; VAD echocardiogram R/L; ECMO echocardiogram; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy; strain 3D 4D echocardiogram; Mitral Clip follow-up echo; pericardial disease/pericardiocentesis; transplant patients including heart, lung, liver, and renal.
• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Mixed inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Care across the continuum in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, cath lab, and emergency department settings.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Monday - Friday and rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Variable start times: 700,730, 800,830,900 AM.
• Possible call coverage, if needed.

Floating Requirements:

- Float between main UWH Highland Avenue and could rotate to 2 clinics Arbor Gate & East Madison Clinic.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certification RCS
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
