Complete and interpret actuarial analysis, valuations, cost estimates, and modeling using statistical programming and database tools. Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and monitor monthly fee-for-service claims projectionsProduce monthly variance reporting against budget and forecast, including key driversSupport the preparation of annual statement actuarial opinions and memorandaProvide actuarial support for financial auditsMaintain a strong working knowledge of actuarial data and available technology toolsProduce accurate, timely actuarial reports and exhibitsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field7 years of work experience beyond degreeRequired Certifications/LicensureFSA achieved or demonstrated performance over multiple years under the supervision of a qualified actuaryPreferred QualificationsHealth insurance actuarial experience with familiarity across multiple productsExperience in reserving methodologies and processes, including IBNR development, variance analysis, and reserve adequacy assessmentsExperience supporting statutory reporting, actuarial opinions, and financial auditsStrong understanding of drivers of medical cost trends and financial performanceProficiency in Excel and experience in SAS or SQL is also preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to balance several projects and deadlines at onceThis position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week.
