Part time phlebotomist needed

shift 3a-7a- to help support morning rounds

The Laboratory Phlebotomist is responsible for performing phlebotomy and EKG’s on patients of all age groups, test ordering in the HIS, ABN verification, and may train new employees.

Must possess ability to perform phlebotomy on all age groups

Consistently obtains quality and usable samples

Continuous cooperation with co-workers and other hospital departments to ensure our customers are satisfied

Must possess ability to perform EKG’s according to hospital protocols

Actively participates and supports co-workers participating in Community Cares initiatives

Continuously improves phlebotomy skills

Actively manages inventory and supplies

Manages inventory, time and workflow efficiently

Recognizes and reports Laboratory Compliance issues, including potential fraud, over- or under-billing for services performed, CPT coding changes or discrepancies, and questionable medical necessity

Performs general housekeeping duties to keep work areas safe from contamination and physical hazards TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES Allied health is among the fastest growing occupations in healthcare today.
