TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Marianna, Florida.
Job Description & Requirements
We are looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Marianna, FL. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
Perform ongoing assessments and administer appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
Educate patients on surgical procedures.
Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Physical and Work Requirements
Medical Surgical Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds, though moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times. RNs will work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
Qualifications
Requirements*: BLS, 1 Year of experience.
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
