Welder Position at Cogent, Inc.

If you're driven by a combination of problem-solving skills, and a desire to help others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! This position is based out of our Riverside Missouri facility.

As a Welder, you will play a mission-critical role in keeping our customers up and running! You'll use your expertise, abilities, and problem-solving skills to fabricate and repair equipment to bring positive results for customers while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to reading and interpret blueprints or digital models.

Move steel with a forklift and overhead crane.

Cut material to size using a band saw, cutting torch or grinder.

Layout parts and prep material for welding.

Pass various types of visual and nondestructive inspections on completed work

Must supply welding hood and hand tools

Work alone or as a team

Continuous learning of products, applications, technology, market conditions and competitive advantages.

High school diploma or GED

Desire and ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing field

Ability to work overtime on short notice

High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service

Solid basic computer knowledge

Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials

Ability to work under little supervision

Customer-first attitude

Ability to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions

Degree from a Technical or Vocational school in pipe and structural welding

Previous experience in industrial construction or maintenance
