300 BIRTHS PER MONTH*******Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence on the Unit***JOB DETAILS:-RATIOS: 2:1, average 20 births in 24hrs and 30-40 admits, 40 Visits/Day, 20 Rooms-Unit Will Accept 13 - 26 Week Contracts!-06:45 - 19:15***RTO: 7 DAYS MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER*** -Call Requirement: NONE-Float Requirement: *FLOAT REQUIRED AS NEEDED. Special Maternity Care high risk OB unit.-Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. We care for under 16 weeks high risk patients too on our high risk maternity unit. The Birthing Care Unit has an obstetrical triage unit to allow for screening of patients prior to admission and to perform routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Unit VERY FAST PACED, busier and higher acuity than might be normally expected. May not be realistic for nurses to take 48hr contracts on this unit due to how busy it is. 300 BIRTHS PER MONTHOCT - REQUIREDInfact/Neonatal Arrest - REQUIRED #Tier2 Travel Compliance Candidate must go into the lab within 48 hours after signing. All testing must be completed within 48 hours. Submission Process : All units are utilizing Clinical for direct profile review Submission Details : Any previous PERM / PRN / EP staff employee of Novant Health or New Hanover must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler. Please note in the submission packet if your candidate previously worked here, the hospital name and dates of employment. Facility rehire approval is needed. Current travel Per Diem clinicians at Novant Health or New Hanover are ineligible for travel assignments. Clinicians must select either travel Per Diem or a Travel Contract. Please indicate in the submission packet if your candidate is currently in a travel Per Diem role at this Health system and if they wish to transition to a Travel Contract. Candidate's perm address under 50 miles will be offered at a lower local rate. RTO - We can auto approve 7 days of RTO or less as long as it does not fall on a holiday.
