Assembly Welder, Production Welding

This position is part of Production Operations and is located in Hemet, CA. The role is onsite.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Receives instructions, prints and work orders for each job, and plans details of working procedures, tools and material requirements.

Fabricates flow meters and components or structures by cutting, bending, burning and welding various metals using welding techniques and appropriate equipment.

Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded; sets up, assembles and tacks welded parts.

Builds up worn or defective surfaces when appropriate.

Uses burning equipment and saws to dismantle assemblies or parts and to cut material to size and shape as required.

Checks own work for conformance to prescribed standards and measurements using a variety of measuring instruments.

Applies knowledge of equipment, work processes and safety practices to work efficiently and safely, observing all safety regulations and company policies.

Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area and ensures accurate handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.

Works with varying degrees of precision and control where damage may be considerable; requires personal protective equipment and awareness of potential hazards.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Welder II‑IV: 3-5 years of welding experience preferred.

Education: Successful completion of formal in‑house welding and completion of a recognized welding certification program required.

Demonstrated competence in the following skills: MIG welding on vertical, horizontal and overhead planes, both stationary and turntable; TIG welding on at least one vertical, horizontal or overhead plane (stationary); oxy‑acetylene cutting torch.

The compensation range for this role is $28.00-$32.00 USD per hour.
