Remote Senior Tax Preparer

Please read first: this role is hybrid in Great Neck, NY, three days a week on site. If you cannot reliably be in the Great Neck office three days a week, this is not the right fit.
BreakPoint Talent is a boutique search firm partnering with a financial services firm in Great Neck, New York. The firm focuses on tax planning and wealth management for high net worth individuals and privately held businesses, and the work leans toward proactive planning rather than year-end cleanup.
You will own client relationships, work directly with firm leadership, and see the planning side of tax rather than only the compliance side.
- Hybrid schedule, three days in the Great Neck office and two remote

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for high net worth individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and trusts
Manage ongoing client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
Conduct tax research and provide planning recommendations
Support leadership on complex compliance and planning engagements
Identify tax savings opportunities and communicate them proactively to clients
3 or more years of public accounting or high net worth tax experience
- CPA license or CPA eligible preferred
- Experience with individual, trust, partnership, or estate taxation
- Familiarity with wealth management tax planning concepts is a plus
- Proficiency in CCH, UltraTax, or comparable tax software
- Able to commute to Great Neck, NY three days a week
