Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds — heavy telemetry focus
Care for adult patients; pediatric assignments are reserved for permanent staff
Demonstrate strong proficiency in Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention
Float to all Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
Perform IV access and medication administration independently, as no IV team is on site
Collaborate with on-unit support staff including Tele Techs, Charge Nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
Required Qualifications
Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Proficiency with Sunrise Allscripts EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
PALS certification preferred
Experience in a high-acuity telemetry or cardiac monitoring environment
Familiarity with variable nurse-to-patient ratio environments based on acuity levels
