Temporary Maintenance Laborers

General Maintenance Worker
Cloud State University. This position is considered essential during natural and man-made disasters and during inclement weather. Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor coverings sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods.
Chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleach, scouring agents, and soaps; Methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively, operate safely, and make minor repairs.

Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions, and communicate using cell phone and email.
Perform assigned tasks with limited work direction and supervision, and keep simple records.
Working knowledge of circuit breaker boxes and fire alarm systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, shovel/scrape ice and snow, repetitive bending and twisting, kneeling, sweeping, and mopping, work in enclosed areas, be able to go up and down stairs, move furniture, reach overhead, work in buildings after ventilation system is shut off, and stand for long periods of time.
