Pharmacy-- Pharmacist (Temporary)

Job Title: Pharmacist

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications. Your expertise will be utilized in reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, determining necessary formulas and ingredients, and providing essential information to customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality assurance procedures, securing controlled substances, and managing hazardous waste disposal.

Direct pharmacy staff in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Provide information and answer questions for pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.

Maintain established procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.

Enter data such as patient names, prescribed medications, and costs to maintain pharmacy files and inventory.

Instruct interns and other medical personnel on pharmacy-related matters.

Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Experience in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy is preferred but not required.

Comfortable with contractor pay structure.

The work schedule includes an 8-hour shift, rotating every two weeks, with potential hours between 7:00 am and 7:30 pm. The initial training schedule is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is not mandatory but may be offered based on business needs. This is a Contract position based out of Waukegan, IL.
