Host - Hostess Job PostingWe are looking for a host - hostess to fill a vacant spot in our front of the house staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant. The person we are hoping to employ is first and foremost an organized, customer-oriented individual who is willing to work as a team player, follow instructions, and help us provide our customers with the best authentic Italian dining experience. A good candidate for this job is a person with attention to detail who can provide great customer service both in person and over the phone in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the menu, positive attitude, ability to work well under pressure while positively engaging with customers and other team members complete the figure.Main Responsibilities of a Host - Hostess:Greeting guests as they enter and seating them to the appropriate tableAnswering phone calls for reservations, customers questions and take-out ordersProviding and cashing out take-out ordersOther Responsibilities of a Host - Hostess:Maintaining an organized front of the house with take-out ordersAnswering any initial questions from our customers both in person and over the phoneEngaging with guests to ensure they are happy with food and serviceManaging the reservation list assigning tables to reservation as well as managing walk-in customers and wait listResponding to complaints and helping to resolve themHelping out with other positions in the restaurant as neededHost - Hostess Job Requirements:Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environmentPossess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staffFollow instruction and ask questions for clarifications if neededAbility to work in a standing position for long period of timesAbility to handle money accurately and work with a point-of-sale systemPrevious restaurant job experience a plus but not necessaryWork ScheduleWeekend availabilityHolidaysSupplemental PayTipsBenefits401(k)Paid trainingEmployee discount
